Almost all of our vacation homes are located in places that unless you grew up vacationing in these areas, you likely haven't heard of them before. In fact when we tell people where they are located, the most common response we get is "Oh, where is that??"
So while the locations themselves are INCREDIBLE, it helps to know a little bit about the area to make your vacation even better. Because of that we've created some insider guides to the area to help you plan and to make the most of your trip!
A true hidden gem our newest property is already one of our favorites. The beauty and size of Lewis Smith Lake is unrivaled. The clean clear water and excellent fishing are truly 2nd to None. You aren't going to want to leave.
There is a reason they call it the forgotten coast and that's why we like it. With very littler commercialization the Forgotten Coast and especially the Bald Point Area provide a Beach experience we don't think you will find anywhere else in the country. Quiet walks on the beach, no resorts, no hotels and sometimes no people at all.
Just about 90 minutes North of one of the countries largest cities, Atlanta, you'll find the cozy little towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. With tons of hiking, biking, fishing and other outdoor activities you could spend so much time enjoying nature that you miss out on all that these cute little towns have to offer.
This area of the county is unlike any other I have seen. The mix of nature ... Smoky Mountain National Park & The Pure Entertainment of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg means that you could come here many times over and still not see it all!
Another stop on Florida's forgotten coast is Cape San Blas. A small peninsula on the Gulf with some of the most beautiful beaches around. Just 15 minutes from Port St Joe where you'll find shopping and dining you're going to love your time here.
